Great storage experience! Easy to reserve and rent same day. They included a lock for the unit and it was clean and ready for move-in. Walkthrough was provided so I was familiar with my unit location, and where elevators and carts, restroom were, etc. Super easy access and reasonable hours. Felt safe accessing at all hours. Move-out was a breeze and they called proactively if they had questions or needed to confirm anything! No issues at all and would rent from them again! Highly recommend!
Xavier and crew run a very clean facility. The storage units are all indoor, temperature controlled, safe & secure. This is my second time using this facility. It is conveniently located in North Austin off of Lamar. Most importantly the staff is friendly and helpful!

Made a reservation online after a couple bad experiences at two other storage places. Amy called me right after I made the reservation and confirmed that I would be in the next day. She was friendly and pleasant throughout the call and called again the next day to confirm. I arrived around 5pm on Monday and Amy was super friendly and got me setup quickly. Updating with a slightly better rating because our claim finally did get approved, however, my husband's items can never be replaced. We also have yet to receive our refund for the last few months that they continued to charge us after we moved out of the unit. We moved out on June 10th and it is now July 21st with no refund they said we would have within the week of moving out.
The facility is clean, secure and well lighted. I was able to rent a unit in Austin while still living in California. The online account, payment, etc is very helpful. yes, you need insurance. Bring a copy of your homeowners insurance when you sign your agreement or you will have to purchase their coverage. They have dollies, docks for 18 wheelers, elevators and they provide you an access code to gain entry. My experience using Extra Space Storage was fantastic. The facility was super clean and the employees were very helpful. The only surprise was that the free truck did not have a ramp.
Both folks onsite were very helpful and friendly and professional. We were able to utilize their box truck to move in, which was very convenient; and their facility is very clean. I would definitely recomment Extra Space Storage for your storage needs..!!
