It all started out just fine. I only need a small space and they offer a 3x4 - perfect. The rates,not too bad and in 18 months only 1 increase. However in the last 4 months my unit has been broken into 4 times, 3 of those in the last few weeks. I've been told there will be a security guard on duty and metal doors installed - we'll see. I don't really want to move to another facility where I have to take a larger, more expensive unit but having to run down, inspect and repack my unit every week is getting old, fast!
They went up on my rent every one month after I began to rent and then multiple times since. My storage was broken in to twice. I already posted that but I wanted to post again because the day we went to move out. There were several storage's that were broken into. Something about this place stinks! And it ain't dead rat's.
I must say that this "corporate reply" is just that. Have had a unit with Extra Space Storage (Sonoma Blvd Vallejo) for 2 years. Over these two years they have increased my rate FOUR times, and now I am paying 41% higher rate! Clearly they hope you have too much stuff to move out and feel conmfortable increasing your rates every 6 months. Not me - I'm outta there!

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!! In addition to the fact they have raised the rent here every six months another $20, there is no privacy!!! I pay the storage for my mother. She has been sick and not accessing the storage. I stopped in to check on it and our $20 lock was cut off!!! When we opened the unit it was sitting on the inside next to a dead mouse....
