I have had a unit at this facility for about a year now but today I had a very uncomfortable uncounted with an employee named Jess. I was parked in front of my unit still seated in the car finishing a conversation with my son's girlfriend. I noticed a truck coming toward me I assumed it was just another patron. The current Leasing Agent is not customer service oriented, doesn't seem to care for the renters, makes up her own rules; is just not that pleasant to deal with; becomes argumentative. I had an verbal altercation with her, and she began gas-lighting, went passive aggressive. Basically saying she could do whatever she wanted to do. my storage price doubled without informed consent and now I am away from the unit and can not retrieve my belongings. This is legally sanctioned extortion and I now have less money for other things in my life. I have complained to management, who just politely put me off and insisted that this is the way they do business. I would never work with Extra Space again. They should be called "Extra Charge".

This place has a horrible manager working there. She does not know how to speak to people. She speaks like a 5th grader can not hold a professional conversation. They should really work on her professional skills. My storage unit got broken into i have the insurance through them and there third party insurer does not hold up there end of it. I have a unit at this location. I have o been there 12months and they have increased my rent twice..I spoke with the manger and he said my rent less than what they are renting now, but what does that have to do with 2 increases in a year........I asked for the district manager number or email and he said he can not give it to me (what a joke) he said he will have thr the DM contact me......it's been a week still has not contacted me.......
I finally porcessed the paper work to take them to small claims and look whos calling. When first speaking with the claims departments manager she didnt care if i had proof and said we dont know were the water is coming from from the photos you sent and was told rudely they were not going to cover my loss due to the poor Structure and Maintenance of that facility. Do not, repeat DO NOT, patronize this business. We rented a full unit here for three years. Three different owners, a fire, and now we learn, a history of multiple break-ins, mass break-ins, and useless security. We went to remove things from our unit, found a foreign lock on it, had them help us remove it, rolled up the metal door, and found the unit completely empty. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. 4 months after moving all my stuff out of this location i am receiving calls from debt collectors claiming i owe this place over over a 1000 dollars? Sooo I finally moved to another storage. In case it wasn't clear, I have never been more disappointed with any company in my life. I spoke to several people at the company and they all were totally disrespectful and not helpful at all. Rochelle and Carlann (I referred to her as Christy in my last update) were the worst people I've ever dealt with...they use Rochelle to do the dirty work and she gladly accept.
