OMG! They were so helpful here! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I wasn't sure about the whole process of booking a storage unit before, as I'd never had to do it until recently. ESS took care of my needs to the fullest extent! Would recommend to anyone needing storage space. I got the right amount of space for my stuff while I move between apartments, and I trust that it's secure.

Bait and switch!! Stay away! I thought their prices were very reasonable. Bought their $30 cylinder lock and moved my things in. Three months later, they almost doubled my monthly fee. They mailed me a Rate Change Notice. "As a month to month rental provider, our rates are reviewed and adjusted depending on current market condition. As a result, we are writing to let you know that effective xx/xx/xx, your monthly rate for unit xxxx will increase to $94." My previous rate was $49! Awful customer service. The elevator has been out for 18 months. I spoke to the office about it. They did nothing. I called corporate and was suppose to get a call back. I did not so I followed up. The person who was suppose to call me lied and said they did. Do NOT rent from here. They are shady.

Horrible customer service. I called the corporate office a week ago and was supposed to get a call back within 48 hours. Nobody called me. I have been renting from them for years. When I moved out of one of my two rental spaces I had to wait for 45+ minutes for an employee to finish their bathroom break to unlock the gate and my storage space that was already paid for. It's a nice place but rent has gone up $100 since I first got here 2 years ago. The rent has been raised two times each year. They also state that they had military discounts for active duty on line, however they do not in person. Rent is now $260+ which is very sad because I need to keep my stuff in storage for another 2 years. Same area there are other climate control places for less than $200, save your money, hopefully I can move out soon.

Extra Space Storage on Park Row in Katy, Tx, Clean facilities but...they entice you in with low prices, then after 3 months nickel & dime you to death. They also require you to have insurance too, which btw they also sell. Upon sign up our little 5 x 5 x 8 was advertised at $29/mo. + insurance. Yesterday I got another email saying my rent went up another $3 (this is the 2nd time in 3 months) so I called the office. I wish I could give them fewer points. They stole my travel trailer or allowed it to be stolen and then made it very difficult to get information. I had to buy a disk and deliver it to the police before they would give them information. By the way, this facility has card readers on the gates and cameras everywhere, yet they know nothing. If you want your stuff stolen then store with them.

Beware of Extra Space storage!!! I have a signed contract that says my rate is $106 per month and they have been charging my bank account $172 and when I called to ask why they said they notified me by mail that my rate was increasing by almost 70% and that I didn't have to agree to it that they could charge me whatever they chose because they supposedly sent some letter!! There is no confirmation that a letter was received or anything on my behalf.
