I called this number thismorning (773) 685-8080 in order to INQUIRE about the facility. A lady who didn't provide her name offered me a 5x7 space for a $29 move in fee, $67 per month with the first month free. When I said that was too much, she lowered the move in fee to $9 and $57 per month. She claimed that was the last space left in that size (yeah right). My mom rented here for 4 yrs. I would ask her over and over to move to Uhaul becuas of the awesome experiences Ive had. She kept saying no Im gonna get my things out and dont need a storage. Extra Space raised her storage about every six months and only care about new customers. They had the nerve to tell me that the reason they raised my moms rent was because she is a long time customer! I CANT BELIEVE THIS. BUT WAIT...THERES MORE! Not cool for raising my storage rent twice!! I've been using extra space storage for a little bit over a year and I just received a notice stating that they are raising my unit to $92. When I checked online my 7x10 unit is going for $66! (before insurance) How come a new customer gets a discount, but somebody who has used your company for over a year gets their rent raised! Renters beware they show low prices online, but within a few months they will raise your rent. I am moving my stuff out of there ASAP.

Avoid this place at all costs. I also had an experience the same as the below reviewer of finding a barely conscious man living in his unit. I also had my unit broken into and received little help from the staff. She wouldn't even call the police for me to file a report. I was told it wasn't their problem and that is why i have insurance. BURGLARIZED AT EXTRA SPACE STORAGE!!! If you have belongings in storage here, or were thinking of using Extra Space Storage, please read this. I was going on a trip to Europe for a few months and I put all my belongings in storage there. The woman working there assured me that there hadn't ever been a theft there and she'd worked there for over 10 year but I should get the insurance anyway.
