Having used Extra Space Storage 2 additional times, I purposely asked how frequently their rates increased when I was shopping for a storage unit. I'd called the main number for Extra Space and was told that yes, the rates do increase every quarter but they would never be more than 10%. "Are you sure?" I asked and was told "yes". I moved into my storage unit the first week of September and recieved a rate increase notice of EIGHTY ONE PERCENT in October!!
