The standout thing about this storage facility is how kind and helpful the staff is. Any time I had a question or concern it was addressed immediately and with such a positive attitude. I also love that they utilize text, and email for correspondence. Clean facility, never had any issues with theft or weird stuff.

My experience with Katie at Extra Space Storage in Costa Mesa was beyond disappointing. From day one, it felt like she had an issue with me for reasons I still don't understand. Her behavior was unprofessional, petty, and frankly, not what you'd expect from someone managing a customer-facing business. The final straw was when she told me to pack up and leave because I was draining only water -- nothing harmful, nothing dangerous -- just water. I DID NOT LOOSE MY BUSINESS AS STATED IN THIS THREAD. Bait and switch with price. They raised the storage rent fee from $187.00 to $313.00 in under 1 year for a small unit. Had to pay for insurance even though I have renters insurance which covers my stuff in the unit. Not happy at all...I got my stuff out!A

Bait and Switch! Be careful if you want to rent for more than 4 months, they will increase your rent by as much as 50% if you sign up online. They do not advertise this. You will receive a postcard in the mail stating "Your promotional rate will be expiring. Starting in one month your rate will increase. Our rates are reviewed and adjusted depending on current market conditions.
