Covid positive beware...I just spent two hours waiting at FastMed after having a positive Covid test. I wanted to get antiviral medication. After all that time they told me they don't prescribe that there. What? They couldn't have told me that when I checked it? Still sick and not happy.
Showed up at 7:05 to get a physical after I thought I had scheduled it earlier in the day - said they had no more appointments available for today. Leaving to go out of the country at 6am in the morning and needed it done before I left. No concessions. 7:00 I could've gotten a physical, but not 7:05. Will not patronize this business again. I hate the the one on skeet club has closed its doors.
FastMed locations do not allow you to schedule an appointment. What you sign up for is a slot that will invariably be 1-2+ hours beyond your selected time. The locations have also done away with walk-in patients but nothing is mentioned about either of these things on their website. They will, however, take your copay up front so if you walk out; don't plan on getting it back without a fight or call to the bank. Poor service, inadequate medical diagnosis. This clinic is a merely a gateway to the High Point Medical Center according to the staff. Be sure a look at the reviews of the Hospital before you seek medical treatment at either facility. The only thing this location does well is make sure to get your insurance information so they can collect money for nothing.
Everyone was very nice. However, they have a medical assistant taking x-rays instead of a licensed radiologic Technologist. I received more radiation than was necessary because she failed to ask me if I was wearing a necklace, warranting a repeat x-ray. A registered Technologist would have known to check that beforehand. Also, the practice is not taking this employee's safety into consideration because she wasn't wearing a dosimeter badge to measure her exposure to radiation. If I could give no stars I would. Front desk receptionist was very rude. Was told by my insurance they cover 100% of COVID test. The receptionist told me no they didn't and they weren't part of "them." I'm assuming they aren't apart of the CARES act that was signed into law on March 27, 2020. So beware of the surprise medical bill you might get from them.

If you care about customer service even the slightest, I wouldn't recommend this specific location. The lady I was greeted by at the front desk was passive aggressive and not only to me but mostly every customer she spoke to. Everybody has their days but she definitely seemed like she didn't want to be there. I went in for a covid test...filled everything out and I was told I'd be called back "shortly"....well by "shortly" she meant 2 hours. I was absolutely shocked to walk into Fast Med and no one on staff at the desk or nurses had on gloves or mask. I walked out immediately. Unreal with Covid19 on the rise in our area. The receptionist was rude and not helpful. I will not go back. No mask???!! No gloves at an urgent medical center? Shame

Pro: Absolutely NO wait time !! CON : It's because anyone local has figured out how incredibly inept and unpleasant this place is !! Walked in nearly in tears from the frustration of pain from a knee injury coupled with the frustration of finding an "in-network" care provider for an OJI. Receptionist could NOT have been any more distant and uncaring. A simple, insincere, "I'm so sorry...." would've gone a long way to leaving a more favorable impression.
