I went to FastMed Urgent Care with flu-like symptoms. I was worried that I had the flu because I had spent time with someone who was recently diagnosed. The front desk personnel and the nurse who saw me were very friendly, however the Dr. seemed very rushed and bothered that I was there at all. I mentioned my symptoms and he said he would test me for the flu as he was walking out of the exam room. He did not give me any time to ask questions. The receptionist was very rude and condescending. She gave looks of disgust when asked simple questions. I would definitely not go here if at all possible.

I have used this location since they opened but the last two times I have been there the customer service was nonexistent. The nurse walked away as she was speaking to me then acted shocked when I wasn't ok with that. This particular location has seriously gone down hill I went to the location on North Main in High Point and found the service and friendliness that was lacking from the Skeet Club location. Can I give a "0"??? Went in to get an escreen for pre-employeement. Called ahead and they told me just to walk in. When I get there they were out of TB tests. The manager stated she would call another facility to see if they had the test available. However, she received a personal phone call and remained on the phone for the remainder of my time standing there. I finally just asked for the number to call myself. The word urgent you would think it would be within hour but nope if you have a urgent situation i DONT recommend they misused the word totally. i understand going to your primary care is the best but sometimes it doesnt work out that way but the word they use "fast" and "urgent" not at all and the employee doesnt seem happy at what they do. If I could give this place a ZERO, I would. Between the front desk person, Jenay and Dr. Mickel---this place is the WORST. They are discriminatory, unprofessional and flat out rude. Jenay refused to verify my insurance because she believed the office would be closed and no one would be there to do so. HOWEVER, if she would have taken the time to READ my insurance card, she would know KAISER is based out of California and it was 4:30PM PST and there was someone there to confirm my insurance. I have been to this place several times in the past with no issues but I took my son yesterday and it was the worst! The nurse didn't know how to get his pulse and the PA was a moron. I'm sure they got paid plenty and there was nothing they could do for my son...so he said. He wanted to have my son admitted to the ER, have chest xrays and blood drawn, IV antibiotics and steroids and was acting like he was dying. My wife visited this location on my recommendation yesterday. Outside of the four (4) hour wait, which was less than acceptable, my wife's description of "Mitchell's" bedside manner is: "Rude, Condescending, and Presumptuous!" The idea was to go here to get a quick diagnosis and meds/Rx for strep. Had I known it was going to take the four hours, we could have gone ahead and made arrangements to go to our PCP. The front office and back office staff were wonderful! I am a retired RN and do not tell health care providers this info in order to be treated just like everyone else. The "Provider" came into the room and pronounce a diagnosis without ever examining me! Told me I had a virus and to just tough it out.
