We had a great time for our first time at this restaurant.
My husband & I have eaten dinners here on several occasions. Food & service have always been very good. On this occasion, we had dinner reservation at 8pm. We wanted a table outside. It will take another 15-20 minutes, so John, the Manager offerred us free champagne drinks at the bar. He did not have to do it as it was our preference for outside seating but that was a very customer-oriented gesture & much appreciated. The bartender at the bar also made our wait painless.
The food was excellent. Parking at the National Harbor is difficult but that is outside of the control of Fiorella. The Open Table reservation was honored as promised. I was surprised that the restaurant could not take a reservation directly over the phone when so many open reservations were available via Open Table but appreciated the recommendation from the representative I spoke with when I called to download the app and try there. Large portions if you're looking for take home, food quality variable, pricey
Service was excellent. Great food as well. The muscles were incredible. Little loud and more casual than expected but still a good night overall.
Chairs were uncomfortable - received a free glass of champagne for being there for the first time. Fried calamari was delicious
They were very busy so the service was slow. Our waiter came over and apologized a few times for the delay before he came to take our order. Food was good as always!
Very good experience, overall. Our waitor wasn't always readily available. However, the manager greeted us, sat us, gave us free champagne, and a free lemon cello. He was very pleasant. The food was outstanding as usual. I'd visit again!
So my guest and I both tried the baked alfredo dishes (chicken and shrimp), both of which were sub par at best. Neither had any flavor between the watery alfredo sauce or the meat/seafood that wasn't seasoned. For the price that we paid for each dish, I expected more. If I had to choose another dish, I would've played it safe and chosen one of the pizzas instead.
