Popped in as I was in the area and first time. Decor was pretty modern with ample space to navigate. They have a nice bar area with plush seating and say 24 or so seats. Four tvs on one side with various slots on and captions were in two of the four. Lots of beer on tap and I got the Cuban mojito. Staying at a nearby hotel, we ate here three times . Over the weekend , we had calamari, salad, potstickers w/slaw, Gyro , and the smoked Ruben. All were great and arrived hot and faster than most places.

I ordered from here from Uber and not sure why my review did not show up so I came here. I ordered the steak, loaded baked potato, bread with butter, coleslaw, steamed broccoli, tortilla and potato soup. This was superb! The quality and flavor of the steak was so delicious. The coleslaw was the best I have ever tasted..and that is saying a lot, I love me some coleslaw. It was crisp and not over sauced. Yum! Walking in cold off the street and I asked if we could have a table for four and a high chair and they offered us hightop seating, and I said we'll take it. There was a lot of room in that section and we were fine with our high chair. We ordered bread and calamari for starters. I loved how they served the butter with a sprinkle of kosher salt. The Five Four Restaurant near Slaughter and I-35S is similar to one of those restaurants that doesn't specialize in anything really, but serves a lot of really good food. Their white cheese queso is my favorite dip in the world! My wife and popped in for dinner on a weekday during Happy Hour. We both had frozen margaritas to start and the white cheese queso dip and chips. We ordered a pasta dish that was like a Cajun pasta dish with shrimp and sausage. It was very, very good. The chicken fried steak was delicious and the mashed potatoes are made from scratch. The service from our server Tyler was spot on. He was very friendly and informative. The atmosphere was great and they play and older style of music which was perfect.

Great service at the bar. Club sandwich was delicious but went light on honey mustard and aioli on the side. Side grilled veggies were tasty that included mushrooms, brussel sprouts,red bell pepper, zucchini, squash, and asparagus. Would definitely order it again. Mimosa was top level juice/bubbles. I will be back !

Had an excellent experience here. The ribeye was delicious and reasonably priced. I went with the salad and Brussels sprouts as sides--both were great choices. My server Chance struck the perfect balance with his service: attentive without being overbearing. Well done!
First off I will say Five Four, which is NOT affiliated with the restaurant 54th Street, has so many gems on the menu! We dined-in for lunch mid week, restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating I understand they're still a fairly new restaurant with other locations in Missouri and now Texas.
