We would rate the friendliness and the staff a 0. They need to hire more staff that cares.

Business response:

We take a look at all the reviews on A Place For Mom. We have an overall 8.7 rating with our Staff at 4.5 (out of 5) and Friendliness at 4.8 – of course there is always room for improvement, but we differ with you on this.

It's very boring. No activities. Also, there isn't good medical care and follow up. The facility seems overwhelmed. No stimulation. The rooms are large and there's privacy but very isolating. say the facility has room for improvement. There is a great staff member that helps as an aide in the memory care but she is busy and can't spend one on one much with anyone

Business response:

We appreciate all feedback and the compliments about our memory care staff. Please reach out to the Activities Director with your activity suggestions.

Had very high expectations for the level of care and accommodations at Pacifica Forest Trace memory care facility, even paid more than we were able to afford but we are sadly dissatisfied with the lack of care they have for their residents. Caregivers and nurses do not seem to genuinely care. Communication with management is very poor. We are looking to move my loved one from there.

The reason we give the quality of care a 3 is because the wrong meds were given to our loved one. He was only there a few months before he passed away. The biggest positive was the staff that work directly with him were very caring and you could tell actually are there because they care, it's not just a job. Biggest negative was communication back to us from the administrative staff. My mother would have to physically go there to be able to talk to someone.

Business response:

We appreciate the kind comments and hope that you have been doing well since your spouse passed. We read all reviews and make changes whenever possible. We appreciate that you took the time to tell us your opinion.

The units were spacious and conveniently located. The community is green and lovely with a nice pool, tennis courts and activities. My mother was in assisted-living, but my opinion it's an ideal setting for active retirees in independent living.

Business response:

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us this information about your experience at Pacifica Senior Living Forest Trace. If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help! Take care!

medical, maintenance, and housekeeping staff very friendly, management needs improvement. The only areas we have had concerns were mainly with management. Day one of orientation didn't go well at all which created issues with the medication administration of my father. Unfortunately to this day, the property manager has not made any efforts to meet us. The only few interactions has been through email. Other than that, my father is happy and has accommodated at his new place. The nurses have really made my father feel welcome... read more

Both my In laws were residents of Pacifica. The staff is not warm or helpful. They had the unpleasant experience during they stay time. Front desk employee was rude to my mother In law most of the time when she was asking questions. Dining room servers had bad attitude. Everything was rush rush rush!! My father In law was on wheelchair. Dining room manager was making sure he wont be seeing during his eat time put him and his wife in far corner so others wont see him just because he was on wheelchair showing a lack of respect... read more

Business response:

We understand the heartbreak of watching the physical decline of a loved one, and the ongoing education needed in understanding changes in care. Due to HIPPA rules (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), we are restricted from commenting regarding your in-law care. However, we do take the word “care” seriously and only seek to offer families the best possible support. That said, some of your statements are not entirely accurate, for instance with regard to the dining room. A resident established dress code was... read more

The main reason I moved here was because it was close to where I was living and my friends were nearby - but there is nothing to do here all day every day. There are no activities or social interaction between residents what so ever. I leave to go play cards elsewhere at night. It is very boring. That has ruined the experience for me, I cannot wait to move out.

Business response:

Now that time has passed we are hoping that you are more active in the community. I am sure that you know that there are outings for residents every week in addition to being able to go wherever you want to go such as grocery stores, pharmacies, or to the bank, among other places. I bet that you have discovered that you can be taken to your physician appointments. Perhaps you have attended the many planned outings to museums, restaurants, and parks that are advertised monthly. If you haven’t...all you need to do is to speak ... read more
