Had very high expectations for the level of care and accommodations at Pacifica Forest Trace memory care facility, even paid more than we were able to afford but we are sadly dissatisfied with the lack of care they have for their residents. Caregivers and nurses do not seem to genuinely care. Communication with management is very poor. We are looking to move my loved one from there.

The reason we give the quality of care a 3 is because the wrong meds were given to our loved one. He was only there a few months before he passed away. The biggest positive was the staff that work directly with him were very caring and you could tell actually are there because they care, it's not just a job. Biggest negative was communication back to us from the administrative staff. My mother would have to physically go there to be able to talk to someone.

The units were spacious and conveniently located. The community is green and lovely with a nice pool, tennis courts and activities. My mother was in assisted-living, but my opinion it's an ideal setting for active retirees in independent living.

medical, maintenance, and housekeeping staff very friendly, management needs improvement. The only areas we have had concerns were mainly with management. Day one of orientation didn't go well at all which created issues with the medication administration of my father. Unfortunately to this day, the property manager has not made any efforts to meet us. The only few interactions has been through email. Other than that, my father is happy and has accommodated at his new place. The nurses have really made my father feel welcome... read more

Both my In laws were residents of Pacifica. The staff is not warm or helpful. They had the unpleasant experience during they stay time. Front desk employee was rude to my mother In law most of the time when she was asking questions. Dining room servers had bad attitude. Everything was rush rush rush!! My father In law was on wheelchair. Dining room manager was making sure he wont be seeing during his eat time put him and his wife in far corner so others wont see him just because he was on wheelchair showing a lack of respect... read more

The main reason I moved here was because it was close to where I was living and my friends were nearby - but there is nothing to do here all day every day. There are no activities or social interaction between residents what so ever. I leave to go play cards elsewhere at night. It is very boring. That has ruined the experience for me, I cannot wait to move out.

My aunt went into assisted living and they were not taking care of her at all. I had a camera in there and many times she had fallen and no one would go in and help her so I had to call the front desk. [name removed] the nursing director told me we needed to get private duty care for her which was extremely expensive. [name removed] mis-assesed my loved one when she was in rehab, she could not do an in person assessment so it was over the phone which I found out after we moved in. My loved one should have been in the memory ... read more

This is a horrible community. They promised a ride three days a week to dialysis, and it took them three months to set this up. They are rude and speak harshly and ore disrespectful to the residents. The nursing staff doesn't get back to the residents. The nursing staff hasn't ordered my loved one's medication in a few weeks. The place is filthy. They don't wash down the handles in the hallway each day. The elevator doors look like they have smudge marks all over them. There is no nail or hair salon appointments available. T... read more
