We moved my loved on into Gardens at Northridge right before they transitioned owners. There was a lot of turnover then, as a result. Not the best experience with that period. Otherwise, the move in process was ok. Communication with the family could improve. We were never informed that the prior Executive Director had left or when the new Executive Director arrived. The experience with the community, has overall been quite good. The only issue is recent ownership change and poor communication to residents and families.

My moms bathroom was not as clean as we would have liked, my brothers had to clean it a couple of times. The are great at contacting us with any questions or concerns. My mom seems to like the food and the portion sizes are large. They seem to watch a lot of TV at the community room, my mom was getting bored , took her word finding books and goes there ... We have confirmed that the comments made by the reviewer do not concern the community of The Gardens at Northridge. The reviewer meant to write about Pacifica Senior Living Northridge. We have fully addressed their concerns and resolved their issues.
This was our second choice. They had a very nice outdoor garden area for the residents, and is in a nice area. The cost was a little to much for my friend that was looking, and the rooms appeared slightly smaller.
It has been good experience overall. My mom had to go to the emergency room, and they took really good care of her getting her into an ambulance and to the hospital. Overall I'm really pleased with the care that she's been given and the follow-up that the staff has given her after her hospital stay. They've really done a great job for her. Her only issue is she doesn't particularly like the food. She would just like to see more selection and flavor.

This community was okay but it did not compare with another community that I was looking at. The tour was great and they were able to answer all of my questions.

We had a great tour with Brookdale Northridge. The facility is beautiful, but it is just so pricey. I would recommend as long as you are able to afford it.
We have not been able to visit the community for awhile, but what what we can see on face time the cleanliness of the community seems nice. Sometimes it is challenging knowing which correct staff members to get a hold of, but we do feel our loved one is being well taken care of.

We had a very informative discussion and tour of this facility. It is one that my mom and her husband had visited in the past. We were pleased with the memory care facility that our mom will need and that will work out great. We still have some hurdles to get over getting her out of the hospital after falling and breaking her shoulder. we look forward to moving forward with Brookdale in the coming weeks.
