RecommendedI moved to Etown a little over a year ago and wanted to find a closer vet. I read reviews for all of them and ended up choosing Helmwood. Dr. Hertelendy is the absolute best. She is the sweetest human and is so good with all my animals. She has now seen all 6 of my animals (3 dogs, 3 old cats) and has been great with every one of them. I highly recommend. I feel like the price is fair too for the attention and quality they provide.

On one of the toughest days ever, the staff of Helmwood was beyond amazing with my dog and helping my family.
If you’re looking for a vet, I highly recommend Helmwood Veterinary Clinic and their satellite location, North Hardin Veterinary Clinic. I seriously cannot speak enough good words about the care that all of my animals have received. Our most recent fiasco was our beagle pup getting bit or stung by something. A late night visit on Tuesday for a swollen face and then back this morning because he developed hives all over his whole body over night. The staff and Doctor's at Helmwood are truly amazing. They really care about your pets. Dr. Reed was treating our very sick baby, Floki. She was very loving and compassionate - even when calling me with updates about his condition when he was hospitalized. All of the Helmwood staff show nothing but love, support and encouragement. I will never be able to thank them enough for the love and support they showed us when we had to put our furbaby to sleep due to his illness. They let us come in when they were about to close. I know a pet rabbit is not an ideal pet for all. Today we took our little Noel in because she was very sick. You all went above and beyond today to help me get my fur baby home to her family to have her private back yard funeral. Your staff was amazing from the second I walked in, to the helping me load her up in my car. Thank you very much!!!
Ollie isn't the easiest kitty to handle. He will bite and scratch anyone, including me, if it's not his idea to do something. Even so, Dr. Reed and the rest of the staff are still very happy to see him. They always treat him well, too, despite his cantankerousness.
