Absolutely love this printer What an upgrade from my previous Canon MF8350 printer! I've long enjoyed Brother printers, since I ditched Epson and my many inkjets over 10 years ago (particularly when one of them announced it needed maintenance when it was still perfectly working). Excellent laser-jet printer Still learning all the capabilities. So far, it prints clear, sharp copies at a good speed; duplexes well (at somewhat slower speed). Colors are accurate. Handles all kinds of paper (thin, thick, labels, etc).
Connection Issues Right out of the box connection issues are very very likely. After a firmware update I'm able to use the app properly. Will update about wifi printing from a pc.
Great quality printer and super easy set up I had this printer set up to my PC in minutes. Prints very fast and is fairly quiet. Am amazed at the excellent print quality, especially since this is a laser. The wireless connection is fantastic, haven't had any problems with connectivity. Also prints from my i-pad without installing any software. Very happy with this purchase!
Reliable Just about every printer I've ever owned has had serious mechanical difficulties, often making very simple projects into long, drawn-out swear word laced hours of pain and suffering. The most difficult thing about this printer is getting it out of the box. It was extremely easy to set up, the ink lasts for quite a lot longer than its inkjet cousins, it has yet to jam even once (knocks on wood), and prints wirelessly from all our devices from all over the house. Recommended!
great copies As expected. I didn't realize when I ordered it, it does not have a scanner, but it works great!

Slow Data Transmission Great images and great printer. But transmitting the data from my computer to the machine--wirelessly or with USB--takes a long time. The machine feels like it's constantly asleep and must wake up for each task. Not a deal breaker but a definite minus.
Good quality print, relatively low cost of toner, first page out is a little slow This printer had good quality print, is user friendly and easy to set up, and the toner cartridges are reasonable priced compared to Canon and HP. It's pretty fast printing the pages once it starts, but the first page out is slow. After hitting "Print" it sometimes takes 8-10 seconds for it to print the first page.
