We were recently in the home market and checked out some of their new developments. We liked the floorplans they offered - several with main floor bedroom and full bath. The prices seem a bit high but again this is new construction so perhaps to be expected with builder costs being equally high. What we didn't like was their policy regarding Earnest Money. I was a fan of holt homes until I started getting Nasty HOA violations for petty things. I travel for work. So, If you travel for work please understand you will be targeted by HOLT HOA. Oh and besides my house is less than 1 year old and it creeks like its 100+years. Lennar is better than holt in my view now. If you are looking in Estacada go with DUgan Estates. No HOA.

Was a fan of holt home until the HOA sent me a nasty letter. Will never buy a holt home again unless they get rid of HOA

Have been asking for over a year to get things fixed and I have had to fight tooth and nail to get anywhere. Still issues and still not fixed. Very frustrated. I pd alot of money for this house and am so disappointed in promises not kept. Wish I had bought elsewhere.
If you want to have someone argue with you on every aspect then choose Holt homes. There is no quality when it comes to Holt Homes. Kitchen sink continuously rusts from the get go, report it in the walk through they tell me its normal and they won't change it. My fireplace is a fire hazzard, heats up the mantel so hot after only a few minutes. Avoid building with Holt Home! Absolutely poor quality. We have nails coming up from the floors and the steps causing wounds on us and the kids, lights pulsating, breakers flipping and shutting of the refrigerators and BBQ, foundation issues that Holt is refusing to address, trim discoloration, moisture that builds up in the dryer exhaust which causes moisture in the drywall. By far the absolute worst home buying experience I've ever encountered. If what you're looking for is 4 walls with a roof you'll do just fine with them. If your expectations are more than this buyers beware. It is almost laughable that they can hand you keys in this condition. July 2022 purchase - REGRETTABLY
The house is beautiful however having Holt respond to warranty work has been a joke ! We have had standing water against our foundation since we bought the house. We were told to wait until we have 72 hours without rain to submit a ticket. We did that in May and we're told two weeks it is still not complete and told to wait until September, almost 5 months !
