These people are pumping out houses at the expense of quality. You do a walk through prior to completion of the sale. This is where you inspect for damages, quality issues, etc. They fixed maybe 20% of what we marked up. The overall craftsmanship is horrible - flimsy cabinetry, cheap looking finishes and their colors make the entire neighborhood look worn out after only a year. We don't even have our house built yet. The latest "update" has just pushed the estimated completion back by another month, for a total 5-month delay. So far. I'm dreading what other problems to expect. We've been deceived, stalled, ignored. I'm not sure I even want to live in the house if it ever gets done.

On December 15, 2020 I had a home inspection done for my newly constructed Holt Home. The inspection report came back with 5 SAFETY ISSUES, 4 MAJOR CONCERNS and 18 items needing attention. An email was sent to Holt Homes stating I would not be closing or doing a final walk the next day as scheduled. Holt Homes returned a threatening response, stating, "you will be at the walk tomorrow, or else....". Per the home inspection report: *The house had NO insulation in the crawl space or attic. None. Buyers beware..... these homes are poorly built. The finishings are even worse. Half of my doors were hung incorrectly and do not shut, even after I asked the builder to fix them 3 times (they lied about fixing it, and what kind of contractor can't haing a door?). The yard floods, and they lied about fixing it (they just piled bark dust over the low spots). We have not had good luck with their so called Warranty Department. Beware and get everything in writing. Definitely don't have a lot of trust with them, unfortunately.

Kept delaying their jobs and barely came to repair their construction defects. They quickly get their jobs done to sell their houses and once it was sold, so slow getting things done. So disappointed with the new house with a lot of problems that are never getting fixed.

A lot of lip service...hurried, sloppy construction. Holt warranty does not cover anything and getting anything repaired or constructed and installed right is not on their agenda. Very bones budget on too high priced homes.. We paid 100% and unfortunately were ripped off. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

they are a horrible company! I have rented for them this past year and my lease is ending this month and i couldn't be happier! they are a shady company. the maintenance guys will come out to "make repairs" and the things never get fixed and they go through your house, going through your things. i brought this to their attention several times and yet it happens every time. the heater in our master bedroom was broken for over 6 months before they finally fixed it last week. i was constantly reminding them of it but they jus... read more
