I would. My experience with them has been absolutely terrible -- full of misleading information, broken promises, and shady business practices. I entered into a pre-sale agreement for a property and paid earnest money based on the assurances provided by their sales agent. We own a home at 340 W 19th. First all the photos on the Hearth site show laminate flooring in the great room. It will also show this in all the models. But the home we got has carpet. So there is a 4 ft entryway before the carpet which goes past the Coat closet into the living room. Guest greater than 2 will wait outside as you take coats (wet?) across the floor to drip in the carpeted closet. First and foremost do your research. Holt is not accredited by the BBB AND has a rating of F. Terrible! We just lost my Dad and closed a chapter in our lives of caregiving for my parents for the previous 5 years and were looking for a fresh start for our family. If I could give zero stars I would. Last review I had Dianna from Holt respond and asked me to call because she wanted to help. Never returned my call. What a joke. Horrible service. I would NEVER buy or recommend anything from Holt. Hard earned money spent on terrible work and service. Shame on them!!!

I have been having difficulty with Holt pretty much since taking occupancy three months ago. Nothing was treated with a sense of urgency (broken refrigerator from the beginning) and progressing to water leaking from the community garden into my backyard. This most recent issue has been going on for over a month, and is still not resolved. They keep giving me the run around and indicating they are working on it, but nothing is actually done. Do not buy one of these homes. They are not good quality and cheaply made. We bought our house 2 years ago and we have already had our microwave break, dishwasher break, 2 light fixtures go out, the furnace was not installed properly, the walls are thin as heck, the outside faucet broke, and we had a leak from the furnace that leaked thru the ceiling. We were recently in the home market and checked out some of their new developments. We liked the floorplans they offered - several with main floor bedroom and full bath.
