The staff was readily available and friendly. We were disappointed in the outdoor furniture selection in store.
I'm not an enthusiast shopper, nor do I have much time to browse, coordinate, consider colors that compliment this or that... interior decoration is not my strength. I'm grateful for my experience with Frank Sublett at HomeWorld for walking me through the inventory and offering helpful suggestions that resulted in a beautifully furnished home. The timing of purchasing our home in Kamuela during COVID offered so many challenges. My husband and I were not able to go furniture shopping on the island due to the travel restrictions. 5 Stars for the Homeworld/Slumberworld team in Kona! The store manager went Above and Beyond to have furniture in my home before I arrived from the mainland and he had all of two weeks from online ordering to do it. They pulled the items I selected from the Oahu store, put on a barge to the Big Island, right when the Hurricane was blasting into town, use their store truck to pick up the merchandise from the Kona port (so as not to miss the once every two week delivery window out to my part of the island), inspect all pieces... read more
We bought a house as COVID19 hit. We were on the mainland moving over and unable to visit the store, and with such a lead time on ordering furniture, I had to rely on Homeworld to make a house visit to look at our layout and make suggestions for what would work. Shout out to Frank, the general manager, who went above and beyond to get our home furnished.
Stephen was a great help to my husband and I. We came to the Kona location as there is more variety than Hilo. Stephen was able to order all of the pieces that we want and best of all. We are waiting for our furniture to come in but we are thrilled that they will deliver to Hilo and set up our furniture for us. Highly recommend Stephen as he isn't pushy and wants to make sure you are truly happy with your purchases.
The manager Frank was super helpful. He was able to order something on the website and have it shipped to Kona. I was super happy, he went above and beyond to get me the sofa/chaise/sectional I wanted and it was affordable.
What an amazing experience shopping here for furniture. First we tried shopping at Kaloko Furniture and both sales associates looked at us as if we don't belong shopping there. As we looked on Yelp we were led to Home World and was shocked that it was just down the street and across from Costco. We remember a bed place but not Home World. Last week we were shopping at Costco and decided to stop by Home World Furniture. We were looking for Sofa set with recliner included. Sales person which Lauren Leanio. Very friendly and always smiling. She was very helpful and very knowledgeable about her inventory items. We looked and several sectional sofa set and fell in love with the one we both chose.
