Last week we were shopping at Costco and decided to stop by Home World Furniture. We were looking for Sofa set with recliner included. Sales person which Lauren Leanio. Very friendly and always smiling. She was very helpful and very knowledgeable about her inventory items. We looked and several sectional sofa set and fell in love with the one we both chose. We completely refurnished several bedrooms in Kona and couldn't be happier with the quality furniture and service we received from HomeWorld! Christian and Chuck were FABULOUS . . . Christian even came to our house to make sure the furniture would work in every room. GREAT place in Kona to get furniture!

I recently bought a house in Kona and needed to furnish it. After looking at HomeWorld's website I wanted to come into the store and see what they had since the website had lots to choose from. I was helped by a fantastic sales lady named Susan Lohse who worked with me from start to finish. I even brought my laptop with pictures of my new house and measurements of all the rooms. Take notice of the recent reviews. Do you see a pattern? We bought a king mattress in 2021 and the service was Ok. Then in July of '24 we ordered a mango bedroom set and was told to expect delivery in September. That didn't happen until January of '25. We weren't too happy about that. We bought a living room set a couple months ago and as usual, we had to wait a few days, until Wednesday to pick it up. There's nothing like having to make extra trips to get what you want. The first time we bought two rugs, we just walked away with them. The store was about to close, but they said oh no problem you can take them. It was such a positive experience that we came back. This time completely terrible experience. We are still in the back of the Homeworld as I write this trying to get our rugs. This is the second time we've been here. They would not let us walk away with them (after we paid of course). They are the same size rugs as we had the first time: 5 x 7. Not huge rugs. Homeworld has just lost ... read more

I found a chair I liked at the Kona store but not in the color I wanted. The salesman said it could be upholstered in a different color but that it would take several months. I drove to the Hilo store only to be told they stocked the exact same stuff as Kona. The next day I went back to the Kona store and bought the chair. After paying by check and waiting forever for them to make sure it was a good check (offensive)- we were to.d there was no one in the warehouse to load the chair onto our truck. So we have purchased a couple of items from Christian @ HomeWorld and have had two bad experiences. First we purchased a LazyBoy Recliner and he told us this was one of a kind they made it with the material by mistake. We went into the store about two months later and what do you know the exact same chair!?! Then we purchased and Sectional Sofa and ordered it with extra firm foam for the cushions and after just over three plus years of light use they lack support. We entered the store on 12/9 with the intentions of spending a few thousand dollars but as we entered we were approached by a salesman who told us we had to leave immediately. It was hot outside, my husband was carrying his face mask and wiping the sweat off his brow before reapplying his face mask and it didn't seem to matter to the salesman.
