Bad organization I started a project in June and am still waiting. I get mixed messages from many employees and now my “sales rep” does not return messages. Disgusted!!
Poor Extended Service My panels are 2.5 years old and I already have one off line and another underproducing. My Xcel bill was $190 in July, and I’ve been billed for electricity every month since. Ion charges $250 to come out and service the panels 24 months after installation. I’ve been rescheduled by this company several times. They have no showed on the 14th, 17th, and 20th so far and still cannot confirm a date. Garbage Where to start. Everything includes the fact solar doesn't even produce enough power to cover its own cost let alone any excess power you use. I would never have solar let alone Ion Solar touch my home again.
So annoyed So the guy who came to the door to set up the sales pitch was great and so was the guy who sold us on solar. Then we go months with out knowing anything I mean months. Then it finally came installation day. The crew was nice and the electrician. Then after two days at my house they were done and then only then did they inform me that they don’t have the battery pack for the system to run. It will be another 2 and so months til that comes in. Poor Staffing Drives Poor Customer Service I was referred to ION Solar by a neighbor. Referred is to strong a word. I asked my neighbor what company was installing his solar panels and he told me about ION. He told me that I should be wary because his solar had not been turned on because a part that was on endless back order. I should have listened. Customer Service Response Sucks I was initially thrilled with this system we had installed in February 2022. On August 21st, we experienced a neighborhood-wide blackout. On September 9, I received a production report from Enphase that showed the last communication transmission our solar gateway had with ION/Enphase was on August 21st. In the time between, I received zero notifications that the system was not reporting. When I mentioned this to customer service, they said I should have received something. No ma’am. I reached out to the email he provided and was contacted by email in the next few days. He claimed he didn't recognize my profile because it was in cancellation. Poor Customer Service the salesman Patrick was very good and personal, explained the process etc. They installed my system on Friday July 1st, guys on the roof where very good nice and polite, they guy doing the electrical, who started flipping breaker off and on with no advance waring had issues trying to get the breakers in to the panel, fried my dryer, pool was not working, he had to put back the break he took out, said he would try to come back next day with the master electrician, no show, no call. Started strong, finished terrible They promised the moon and the stars and everything ended up fizzling. We had a deal in place and when I wanted to negotiate getting a few more panels added, the agent lost his mind. He text me that the deal was canceled and that he was tired of dealing with people like me. I was shocked. Totally unexpected especially since I was about to fork over $25 of my money to them.
