Dishonest I orginally chosed Ion Solar over SunPower. Prior to choosing Ion Solar, I informed my sales representative that I don’t want to sign a contract until my house refi has been funded. My sales person ensured that signing the contract is just a place holder, and if for any reason I start receiving messages from Ion, ignore the messages. Buyer Beware 2/25/2021 Buyer Beware! I purchased solar for my 2-story home in the spring of 2017, The company was called Vision at that time. If you are considering solar, make sure you are aware of hidden costs that the salesperson will not give you. These include the need to clean solar panels professionally as pollen sticks to them like glue and the hardest rainstorm won't clean them. Inefficient, poor communication, 3mth paying&still not operating If I had the time I would write a very lengthy detailed review . I am very unhappy and regretful of sign a contract with ION. Terrible experience and I am not fully operational yet! Going on my 4th month of paying 2 bills one my full electric bill and the other ION . Richmond Team needs some major improvement. Well, I was really looking forward to having solar and doing the Green thing but if I had to do this again for some crazy reason at another location, Ion would not get my business. Buy Solar The best part about the process with ION Solar was knowing that they'll take care of everything from dealing with HOA paperwork to scheduling city inspectors. Originally we were told by the salesman that they would send someone out to install the free Nest thermostat. After a few months, we were told by another sales rep that ION was not HVAC certified to install so we had to install the thermostat ourselves. Now is the best time to buy solar. Do NOT GET SOLAR PANELS I wish that we never got solar panels and I’m tellI got everyone not to get Solar panels. Our electric bill with the payment to loan pal and our electric bill our payment is over $500 a month and we use to pay $150 - $220 a month in electricity. If we could I would have them remove. Unreliable Worst customer service, inspection department. Everytime I called it was a different story. Their timeliness are a joke. Only one person can answer questions and even that you called them they don't even know what is going on. The worst part is that you can hear them laughing and giggling when they are talking to you. Pure disrespect and extremely unprofessional.
low to NO comunication This company has been a pain since the beginning , with them roughly treating my roof , to the meter placement , each complaint has been ignored and any way of contacting them via email text calls have all been ignored . If this is the way a new customer is treated it shows me what any maintanance will be like in the future
BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!! **DO NOT USE ION** Beware of this company. Bait & switch should be their motto! Their sales reps will tell you all the pretty things you want to hear to entice you to sign the contract. Once you sign the dotted line the tables turn very quick. Horrible customer service. 12/14/2020 UPDATE we've had power bills 6 out of our first twelve months! This is absurd.
