From New Orleans it was on to Alabama where he performed a three year residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, completing his program in 2004. My primary care Dr. highly recommended Dr. Balart..and after my first visit with him I could see why! Upon meeting him I found him to be very personable, friendly and professional. He was thorough in his explanation of everything I needed to know... and interested in all my questions. I never felt rushed. His pleasant, lighthearted manner makes one feel very much at ease and comfortable.
