The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. The chef personally came out to talk with us and it couldn't have been a better evening.

Dinner was OK food not all that good. Not worth the money.Will not rush back and will not recommend to others.
We planned to celebrate a birthday at J Prime. Upon arrival, we were told that the entree’ selection we wanted had been out for a while. Typically, other restaurants post on their website when a main menu item can’t b offered. Also, they did not offered a single potato side that had not been cooked with black pepper. It wasn’t even possible to order a plain baked potato as we’re told they are baked using pepper. I could go on, but will just leave it that we departed and won’t return.
The steak was not tender and the cake was dry and not moist.
I love J.Prime. The Wagyu sampler is excellent. However, I was disappointed when they indicated they use the same frier for everything. I am allergic to shellfish. I ordered the crispy brussel sprouts and the waitress asked if I was ok with them given the fact that they are flash fried in the same oil as shrimp. After dining here 40-50 times since opening (including supporting them through Covid) our time may be coming to an end. The food continues to be outstanding, and better than the newer competitors. However, a $700 plus dinner on a Tuesday is about more than the food. The service has t match, and unfortunately tonight it was a big miss. Note - unfortunate situations occur. Service has certainly declined recently. Used to be our go to but the last two visits have been less than memorable.
We were sat next to a party so we understood the noise level issue right off the bat. Drinks were great, carpaccio was fantastic. Two of three steaks were overdone but due to waiting an hour for our food, we didn’t complain too much. This is our favorite steak house in town but deff were off today. 16oz strip ordered med/rare was easily well at best.
