During pre qualification, I was shopped for best rate. When time to closing I felt I was advised that rates might go higher in the next few weeks , so I was kinda given a decision to lock in my rate . Come to find out rates went lower in the next few days - I felt cheated. I have an excellent credit, long years and with no outstanding debts except my home and I was given a higher rate with buying points .
