It's average at best. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back when I can make better at home. I have to say the service was good though
The restaurant has a bad smell to it like grime and cleaning supplies. Waited 30 minutes for an omelet and potatoes but brought out the wrong order so we waited another 30 minutes. The waitress had an attitude towards us for complaining about them making us wait for the right order. While waiting we noticed bugs in the corner climbing the wall. I had to update my review for one, single reason, the lighting at Kiki's. To put it simply, the lights are too bright and too in-your-face for first thing in the morning. My wife and I asked our waitress about it and were told that lots of people had made comments about how bright it is but that there were no plans to make changes. I still think the food and service at Kiki's are great but, until the lighting is updated, we will probably be going somewhere else. My daughter and I have eaten here twice because it's close and isn't as crowded as First Watch. I think we will deal with the crowds next time. The food is average. I ordered a burger which was 2 flat patties, most likely frozen, but my bad since brunch places don't specialize in burgers. The service is robotic.... neither servers we had were very friendly. Keke's is my absolute favorite place to have breakfast or lunch. The pancakes are amazing. Huge, fluffy, crispy edge....yummm! Having said that, my first visit to the Keke's on 54 in Lutz was so disappointing. I ordered my usual, grilled cheese. It is listed on menu under panini/grilled sandwiches. First attempt was regular toasted white bread with melted cheese. Second attempt was on panini bread with cheese, not melted at all. The waiter once again returned it to kitchen. Meh... Nothing special. Not any more impressed with the service much less the food. Oh, and it's pretty pricey too. Better to head over to First Watch or Brunchies. You'll get better food and service.
1 star because I can't give less. Came here before work at 12p with my family. Was seated quickly and literally waited 45+ minutes and our food NEVER arrived. People that got there AFTER us, got their food before us. Obviously annoyed I asked where our food was and to please pack it to-go. When our food food arrived, it was wrong. Usually this establishment is top notch with friendly service. Unfortunately on this visit I was surprisingly disappointed. The waitress (Chrissy)was pleasant and attentive. When I informed her that there were errors in my order she quickly addressed them and apologized. After eating 3/4 of the omelet I ordered I noticed that there were two short hairs in the cheese of the omelette. I informed the waitress and she confirmed this as well. Was expecting an awesome experience based on some of the reviews. Had been looking forward to the opening. Sadly, the food was just ok. Pricey for breakfast, $41 for two omelets (comes with toast and sliced red taters), pancakes, 2 ojs, and a coffee. Ordered silver dollar pancakes and got 3 huge buttermilk ones.
