Had a reservation this evening for Kramers and all I can say is WOW!! It is a cute bookstore with an amazing g restaurant and a pretty lively bar! This review is only on the restaurant! Seated promptly and greeted promptly with water, myself, and my dining partner went straight into the drink menu, we were delighted to see that they had some drafts that we enjoyed that are hard to find where we live in Virginia. My friend opted for for the Crooked Crab Red Ale, and I did Farm Fuzz from Manor Hill brewing. Both were deligh... read more

Very cool bookstore and great restaurant. The ambiance and quality of service is very good and the food we had (lunch on a Sunday) was excellent. When we needed anything, service was attentive. The cafe area has plants growing in the ceiling and nice natural light. The portion sizes were generous. I had cinnamon french toast (I ordered a side of bacon too). My wife had the green goddess salad and said it was excellent. Others had a waffle, blackened salmon, and a crab cake sandwich and everyone was happy with their meal... read more

A great bookstore not to be missed if you are near Dupont Circle in DC. Great selection of books and other interesting items.

I've been coming here for years, and each time the place is more whimsical than the last. Truly a gem in DuPont, no better place to browse books and get caffeinated. Love supporting this business and so happy it's so close to the metro. Very much a staple place in my DC living. Cannot recommend it enough.

Haven't been to Kramer's in a while and decided to come support local. Just like I remember the store was easy to navigate, and there were many books in stock that I had on my "to buy" list. The employees are always so helpful when trying to find a book. I still highly recommended shopping local for books when you can.

This review is exclusively afternoon tea as I haven't seen any reviews on it yet! Kramers has almost two parts - a bar/seating area up front and then the back area which also has outdoor tables. We originally sat at the front but after being ignored for a few minutes we moved to the back. The afternoon tea is offered on weekdays from 2-5pm. The most shocking and egregious part of this tea is that tea isn't included with the price. I thought when the menu said "teapot only" that meant if you didn't want the sandwiches. Tea ... read more

Business response:

Hello Devon, we appreciate your feedback. It would be helpful to receive more information. Are you referring to the photo on our website that shows two towers? The menu shows tower for two with two teapots for $49 and a teapot only is $10. Please contact us at info@kramers.com so we can discuss further.

Kramers always hits, and it's a comfy local spot. I sometimes bunker down with a friend in Dupont for days in work mode, and we would take joyful breaks to bop down to Kramers for brunch. She always gets the avo toast and French soda and it's cute to have a lil routine. We came here on Inauguration Day 2025, a spooky day, and it felt very DC. Thankful for this friendship and fond memories here together.

Super yummy! Came here on a Sunday morning to browse books and eat breakfast with a friend. We both enjoyed our experience. The service was friendly and our food came out fast and fresh. I enjoyed the omelette and she had crab cakes Benedict's. The seating area in the back was nice and bright. Overall I would definitely come back!
