Great food - fun atmosphere good for groups. Enjoyed eating out on the patio. Lots of options for most everyone. Recommend reservations.
Friends that live in the area recommended this place due to it being a restaurant counter and book store all in one. It's conveniently located off Dupont Circle and across the street from a metro entrance. It was busy, filled with people checking out books. The restaurant part is at the back on the left; they have tables in the back or bar stools along the side. The menu is extensive with traditional breakfast and brunch items, plus lunch and drinks. I had the classic breakfast with eggs, potatoes, and bacon, plus a nitro ... read more
Vegetarian perspective Perfect spot for a lunch meeting. Plenty of seating, though still recommend a reservation because its a popular spot. Tons of vegetarian options on the lunch menu, not much on the brunch side (suggestion to add a tofu scramble!) Only downside was our waiter was MIA a few times, was hard to track down the bill.
The New Orleans Pasta was delicious! The service was prompt and friendly. I come here every time I am in D.C.
A diner inside a bookstore. Kramer's was exactly what we wanted it to be. We were able to have breakfast and dinner at the same time. My wife wanted breakfast for dinner but no one else did. We saw Kramers had breakfast all day and went for it. Everything we had was good. Burger, French toast, eggs Benedict. Everyone was happy.
A very well curated bookstore with a wine list & good eats? Attentive and knowledgeable staff, too (both booze & books). What's not to like?!? A great DC stop!
The lavender Matcha latte was warm and cozy on this wintry snowy day, and the selection of books is pretty fantastic. I've made a commitment to read more fictional literature this year, and this place has such a large selection despite its relatively quaint appearance. Located at DuPont circle, it's no wonder this place gets so much traction. Very friendly staff. It's very crowded when I went on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to say that it's the best quiet place to read, but it's still has its uniqu... read more
I freaking love this place. You can shop, drink, and eat all in the same place. The food is amazing, there's so much seating - indoors and outdoors, the vibe is cool with a wall of windows that can open up in nice weather. Breakfast whenever you want!m, but I totally lean toward the Cali dogwood and the ahi tuna and farro bowl! Don't skip the BBQ seasoned French fries! Wow!
It's a pretty decent place to grab a bite and catch up with a couple of friends. I recommend making a reservation if your party has more than 3 people. My friend and I walked in (just 2 people) and were seated almost immediately. The French toast was perfectly made and satisfied my sweet tooth. Their side of mac and cheese was also one of the best I've had in D.C. for a while. After brunch, we walked across the building to their connected bookstore (which is stocked with a variety of books, puzzles, and souvenirs). It's loc... read more
