brother ink is a rip, but... brother likes to show out of ink long before you are. if you tape or paint the sight window you will get much more. it does work well other than the running out thing.
Printer cartridge does not yield expectations I inserted a new black cartridge, it did not print well so I cleaned it...needed to clean a second time. The cartridge is about 3/4 full, after printing 6 pages and needing to clean twice. I have never printed 300 pieces of paper as claimed. I am very disappointed.

Some of the other reviews give tips on refilling, but you can buy off brand for much less and get the same or better results.
Absolutely horrible.. Absolutely horrible...don't waste your money...you will have better luck with the 'off-brand' ink instead. I'm lucky if I got (10) good pages out of the junk (and I DO NOT do a lot of printing by any means).
