I've been coloring my hair with MR products for about a year now and really love the results. When I chose to get highlights, for the very first time, I decided to go to this salon because I've had very good experiences there. Unfortunately this last visit was not as pleasant. The very young hairdresser treating me would not stop talking about herself. Nelly did an excellent job ! my hair was dry, damage and a lot of grays I left the place sooo happy with a shiny and healthy hair and awesome highlights

Jonie was great! This was my first time using Madison Reed color services but I am a huge fan of their home dye kits. Jonie did a FANTASTIC job, and I will definitely go back. What a great experience. My only comment is I wish their wash sinks were more comfortable....

Just looked at my hair tonight after having it done - not acceptable. Some of the color was fine and some is not.

I went to the UES 3rd Ave/67th St location for root touch-up and highlights. My stylist, Vanessa, suggested balayage instead, but unfortunately the results were very disappointing. The color came out brassy and uneven. To their credit, the manager offered a complimentary color correction a week later. However, the correction mainly covered up the blotchy areas from the original service, and the final result looked more like a single-process all-over color than the dimensional highlights I had originally wanted. 2 stars are not an accurate review as the color team is fantastic. The pricing policy is confusing and it always seems more expensive than advertised Including special " offers" that don't seem worth it Or included ?! But my biggest complaint are the HORRIBLE blowouts. Twice I came home and redid my hair. Very disappointing but the colorists should get 5 stars. I'll try one more time but unsure I'll renew.
