Hair colorist did not communicate with me about "their solution" to coloring my hair. I went day before and spoke to mgr to be sure I scheduled appropriate appt. I was clear why I was unhappy with previous color (too orange red). Btw this was my 3rd color visit. First was good, second I said I hated it but hoped it would wash out "temp color" which it didn't. I was dumb enough to go here twice. I specifically went to MR because they are supposed to keep records so your color always turns out the same. I love my old hairdresser but I didn't like that my roots were never the same color. First time I went the color came out super dark. I was unhappy but told it would wash out. It didn't. Since I wanted the same roots I went back and also asked for highlights. The highlights are just ok standard highlights. But my roots are orange. Not even close to previous color. I expected more. I wasn't picky about the hair color... I understood I had dark hair and it was boxed dyed. I went in for partial highlights and was convinced to also do roots. ($75 more) Ended up paying $221 for everything. Roots didn't even look any different! The blending wasn't good. The stylist was very nice but I just expected a better blend. I was super excited and saved up for this and it wasn't good at all. I'm honestly sad.

I went there for highlights and I showed hairstylist pictures of what I had and how I wanted it to look. She assured me I will get that. Result was not horrible, but was not what I asked for. I could not even communicate that because hairstylist was not attentive. She was rushing to leave the work hour before shift and made "beach waves" with iron that looked worse than I would do at home with no expertise knowledge. I guess it's a good option if you have dark colored hair or grays only. My hair was absolutely ruined and burned off of my head by bleach. The colorist did not know what she was doing and her assistant mentioned several times "you can either accept the shade it's at or end up with no hair" how are those the only two options ??? I had them try to fix the situation and they failed again and the insults continued I was charged a pretty penny and promised to never return, I have had to spend hundreds of dollars trying to rest... read more

terrible outcome! I asked for something specific and the outcome was not at all what I asked for. I showed pictures, had a consult and wish the stylist would have been realistic of what could be achieved, even if it meant that she couldn't achieve what I asked for. Also, stylist was all over the place and seemed upset when I expressed i wasn't happy with the color. She argued with me, saying she gave me darker which is what I asked for, but nothing else was what I asked for. I will not be going back to this place ever!!!

First time here and was it odd. I was checked in and given no direction on who my colorist was going to be or where to sit. Waited 15 minutes for someone to even come to me. The colorist I got was super friendly and did explain how Madison Reed works, and had a warm, friendly demeanor throughout the consultation. Unfortunately, another person then took over to wash and blow dry my hair. This woman had no customer service skills whatsoever, and was rude and demanding the whole time. I have never felt strongly enough to write a Yelp review until now. Horrible customer service. Manager was extremely rude to my daughter. I'm shocked they don't have more bad reviews Even other customers who witnessed the terrible treatment were horrified. Go somewhere else.
