I used to frequent this location but the new staff have bad attitudes and rude responses. They do not keep track of time well since they are multi-tasking. The color areas and chairs are not kept up.

I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to get my hair colored before a wedding the following day. I went in with an existing balayage asking for a darker brown balayage and was told "it's not that type of salon". The stylist stated they don't know many techniques and wouldn't be able to balayage my hair despite me scheduling a balayage appointment. She told me she would have to charge me for 2 services, to do full color everywhere and then go back and do full highlights. I did not have 6 hours for a hair color service that... read more

I love Madison Reed hair color. Usually do it myself. Had a pickup order drove 45 minutes the store was closed due to HVAC issue so support tells me to go to Rockville, Md another 45 minute drive to get my order. I had a job interview at 3pm and by the time I got to Rockville it was 1245pm. I knew I wouldn't have time to drive all the way back to DC to do my hair and make it to the interview at 3pm. Terrible experience! If I could give them zero I would have. The price went up from 60$ to 150 for no reason. There weren't enough chairs so I had to stand up while waiting for the color to dry. Stay away from this location. I won't be back!

Had an awful experience with a full length hair coloring. I told the colorist that I wanted my hair medium to light brown (it was that color to begin with but I had very visible gray roots and wanted the color to be even), which we discussed in detail, and I came out with my hair practically black! I don't know if the issue is poor quality of their products or an incompetent colorist, and I don't care to find out. I usually have a very good experience, but was very disappointed this time. I changed my appointment and went the day before the original appointment. I was supposed to get roots and blow dry. when I changed the appointment on the phone, the operator didn't make it for a blow dry also. So, when I tried to get one, at the salon. I was refused, because they didn't have anyone to do it. i can't do it myself, so I left with wet hair.
