Get directionsI few years ago I had two new systems installed by Mechanical Air. The units are still under parts warranty. I also have a service contract with Mechanical. Today I had the annual maintenance performed and was told that I needed a new capacitor. It took 10 minutes to install the new capacitor and the labor charge was $127!!! That comes out to over $700 per hour!!!! I spoke to Cliff the service manager to complain about the price to no avail. The maintenance contract is worthless. The air conditioner they installed is a piece of crap. Called them today to fix a problem and was told it would cost $49 to come because our scheduled service is in Sept. They were here a month ago to fix a problem. Here we go again. Do not buy an Amana Air Conditioner and pray that if you need service, it is during regular business hrs.
