Not bad for the price if you print and copy less than 10 pages per day! Not bad for the price! After 3 weeks of daily use (3-8 pages per day), I can report only 1 paper jam and no other aborted print or copy jobs. I have not used the scan or fax functions yet. For my usage, I estimate replacement ink will cost about $70 per year. I also own upper end HP and Brother printers, which ink cartridges make overall use much more expensive. If you print and copy less than 10 pages per day, this printer might work well for you.

First-rate printing; Solid Value. As with the previous Brother printer, print quality is first rate, as clear as a laser printer. Scanning does what it is supposed to do, and does it well. OCR (optical character recognition, converts image into editable text merely from a picture of a book page). This machine replaced an older Brother that finally died after 8 years. Price of ink . I use this for my house. Print quality is very good. Best thing is that ink is available at very reasonable price.
