This was a great purchase for the home office This was a great purchase for the home office! Print quality and print speed is very good for this price of printer. The ink lasts for a long time and is super easy to change. I like having the option to print 11x17.
built like a tank First, this is a BIG machine and is heavy, built like a tank. In fact it is over-built but boy it is a great printer. Fast, quiet, good quality and sips ink.
OK for home use, not for a business. I had been using a laser printer for a few years now and wanted to go back to an inkjet because of the superior color quality. Since Lexmark is out of business, I tried a Brother printer. Here we go. Pros: 1) Nice color, but not great. Better color adjustment settings than most laser printers. 2) Low cost for ink cartridges Cons: 1) Very slow printing to get a quality color print. Love it! Everything all the HP printers aren't This printer is everything I have ever wanted. It's fast, reliable, works great with an iPhone, Wi-Fi never drops off. It's fantastic being able to print something from your phone. Seems to be pretty average on consumption of ink. Owned it just under a year & have about 1/4 of each cartridge left. I was incredibly frustrated with all of our HP printers & this has proven to be an excellent replacement
Excellent value and quality Very good quality for the price. I haven't used it enough to run out of ink for the first time, so I can't comment yet on the life of cartridges. paper handling is good and setup was easy. i would recommend this printer. the only disappointment was my own fault - I wanted to be able to have the ADF automatically handle double-sided copying and scanning, but I bought the 5830 and I think it's the 5930 that does that. Great printer So much better than my HP that would constantly disconnect and also didn't scan straight. Making work so much easier...
Beats my other inkjets Really fast printing speed and very easy to use. A bonus is the no wait time to scan. Setup was hindered by an inability to easily find the USB input. (it wasn't on the back of the machine as it is on most printers) While not actually part of my rating, I am disappointed that cheap generic ink cartridges are not readily available however, they can be purchased for $39.96 for a double set plus one extra black).
