    Good printer overall but for the life of me cannot ... Good printer overall but for the life of me cannot get fax to work and brother tech support is useless that's it otherwise everything else is ok!

    Cheap and cheesy--not typical Brother quality--it's a shame Let's see how cheap and junky we can make these printers until the consumers say, "No more!" This thing is slower than molasses in July! I pulled out the tray the other day (only the second time) to load the whole 20 sheets of paper that the tray can handle--and snap! There goes a few pieces of plastic. The print quality is okay, which is why I gave it 2 stars. But it doesn't have any other redeeming qualities.     The worst part is that If the printer "thinks" color is empty, will not print B&W or color at all!!! I purchased this printer in July 2017. I have yet to get through the first 500 page ream of paper (read: no where near the 1200 color prints advertised), with the majority of my prints being B&W, yet in Jan 2018, this printer already says the color ink is empty. I can visibly see that all three color cartridges have ink in them. The worst part is that, although it 'thinks' the color ink is out, the black cartridge is like 90%... read more

    The supposed "help link" provided by the manufacturer does not specifically address the reported problem. The "problem" being reported by the customer is: The product is inferior in that regardless the amount of ink showing, it returns a "low" or "out of ink" message and refuses to print. WE, the customers, are NOT the ignorant people that you (the manufacturer) seem to think we are.     The Epson ET-4750 is a better choice. Wish I could return it This printer uses up the inks while idle. The self-cleaning cause's the ink's to be used up. They say it will save inks. Not so. The Epson ET-4750 is a better choice. Wish I could return it.

    printer fails to scan in about a couple of months and does not recognize your network wireless in a year or so. I have Windows 10 in my computer. Printer started working fine the the first month, printing and scanning where good. then after the following months the scanner started acting out and soon after it just didn't work . Now on December 31 2018 the printer doesn't work.     Wouldn't Connect to My Ethernet or WiFi and Brother support wouldn't help a bit..... Okay, so I should have listened to the reviews about Brother's customer support...unbelievably bad. I decided to replace my many-years-old HP Envy 6420 Wifi MFP. It has been an extremely good printer, but the ink was just getting ridiculously expensive and the scanner software wouldn't work on my Mac anymore.     Horrible... Worst printer I've ever had and its not close. Disconnects from wifi constantly and takes forever to print.

    Terrible experience. About 1/5 brother ink cartridges won't work ... Terrible experience. About 1/5 brother ink cartridges won't work so even though it's supposed to be good on ink you lose money tossing the replacements that fail or won't read right. I have had for 6 months and now it reads as if there was a jam on every page and I can not find any jam took it to an authorized brother repair center and there is a broken part and it will take 6 weeks to wait for backordered part.
