This printer has been a disappointment. I bought it thinking I would get around ... This printer has been a disappointment. I bought it thinking I would get around buying ink so often and for that, it is great. Uses very little ink, but the paper jams and problems with the paper conveyance are unbelievable. I need four to six pieces of paper to print one document. Want to send it back badly!
A good investment Don’t let my mentioning some some negatives influence how you think I feel about this printer. I am quite happy and recommend it to anyone with small to moderate printing needs. A number of reviews talk about long term ink cartridge savings. I’m looking forward to that. The cartridges are very easy to replace and can’t go in “wrong”. This printer works like a garbage on a wifi network This printer works like a garbage on a wifi network, most of the time you don't what it is doing, receiving data, halting in the middle, print out only parts of the page, tons of issues, waste lot of printing materials. don't get me wrong, I knew what I am doing, all other stuff on the same wifi network just work fine, it's something in this printer if you think there is a potential network issue,

Substandard I've had some great printers in the past. A Brother laser and a couple of Canon inkjets to be specific. This printer gets a "C+" grade. It's jamming when I try to print 2 sided. Reading the reviews tells me that other people are having this problem. I frequently get a vertical black line when I print photos on regular paper, although they print fine on photo paper. One Star Was broken right out of the box.

I've been on the phone countless times with Customer Support who tries to tell me the problem's with my router, operating system, yada yada yada. I tell them this is the only one of 7 different wireless devices to ever have this problem and I get crickets. I would not buy another Brother product again.
Used as directed, ink will not last up to two years. Advertising states the printer comes with up to two years of ink but the three sets last up to six months before drying out. That's a year and a half, not two years. Instruction sheet directs to insert starter cartridges but there were none and packaging doesn't indicate any were to be included. Very misleading, or missing accessories. Printer itself is awesome, but I bought this one also beccaue it stated. It came with three full array of the colored ink cartridges as well. It did not. I went to staples to buy the ink. On the box it shows $137 in value of included ink. I checked for coupons, nothing. It looks like the empty spot where there was in was missing.
