Complete Garbage. Avoid like the plague! Complete garbage. Will not wifi print without completely rebooting everything every time you want to print. Then quality if poor as well as speed.

Returned I purchased this and tried it for two weeks. It would not take paper thru the ADF and the rear document feeder on a consistent basis (maybe one out of ten). I tried this with card stock and regular paper with same results. I printed from Microsoft word and Hallmark cards also the same results. Most of the time it would just feed a blank paper thru, then either pull one out of the regular feeder or gave a jammed message which took a lot of time to clear and never once was there any paper that got jammed. So So Very Cheaply made. Its fine, but don't expect much. We had a HP printer before this one which was better. I wouldn't buy it again.

Not working with Windows 7 Drivers would not work on Windows 7. I tried every troubleshooting scenario on Brother's support website and wasted hours. Returned this and got an Epson Expression Premium XP-830 which prints faster with better quality, is cheaper, and had no headache setting up.
... well except it's not intuitive and the documentation is bad and I had trouble getting it to work with ... Does not work with envelope printing!!!! Terrible for envelopes! I've had several Brother MFC printers and NONE of them do well at printing envelopes! Whether it's the tray and single feed at the back. If you are planning on printing envelopes DO NOT GET!!!!!

SLOW, poor interface and poor build quality Horrible! So so slow, on average we get 1.2 ppm in black and white even slower in color. The colors are not very vivid and the print quality is mediocre at best. Build quality is definitely sub-par the paper tray feels flimsy and the touch LCD screen has already failed after just a few dozen uses. Scanning is glitchy at best and sometimes the "scan & email" feature doesn't' work. I bought a canon TS 9020 a few months ago and what a world of difference, its fast easy to setup and the build quality feels better than the brother. It has NFC, does duple printing and prints ~15 ppm. The ink does go by a little fast but the cartridges are affordable to replace. It even has a cool automatic retracting paper tray. Best of all it was $40
Poor quality Product smoked and burnt out within two minutes of plugging it in.

Customer service is horrible the 1st time I called Brother was closed The fax works but only if you are present to receive it manually! Air print is nonexistent! Customer service is horrible the 1st time I called Brother was closed, redirected to India who wanted $199.00 to fix the problem with the fax. It turns out there is no problem just the brilliant design. I finally reached Brother after holding for 45 minutes no satisfaction forthcoming. WARNING do not buy Brother products.

That's just not true about the fax. I just set this printer up for a friend today. There are 4 different fax receive modes. It sounds like you have it set for manual mode. It's all in the manual.
