I had an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (c5-6 and c6-7) in 2010. I was in intense pain prior to seeing dr madsen. He quickly diagnosed the issue, scheduled surgery and walla! I had NO pain following surgery nor since. He had a wonderful , patient, confident, calm demeanor. I recommend him highly
I was in horrible pain and had an MRI. A junior high student could have seen the horrible damage in my neck. I was 4mm from being paralyzed. He did a thorough exam also. He scheduled me for surgery the next week. He didn't hesitate to do it. He could see the horror on my face. He looked at me and said, "I know this is very scary for you, but you need to know it's not for me". I was very reassured. My surgery went great and I have my life back!!! Thank you Dr. Madsen, I'm riding my mule again.
Dr Madsen performed a C5/C6 disc replacement on my neck 2 1/2 years ago. I was in horrible pain prior to the surgery. Every other Dr wanted to do a fusion because they were not familiar with a disc replacement. Given my age at the time, 41, and the otherwise good condition of my spine he felt that I was a good candidate for a disc replacement. The nerve pressure was immediately relieved after surgery. I have been able to live my life pain-free. He is extremely respectful, and a good communicator
I had a very disappointing experience with this doctor. After spending $798 each on two separate MRIs, I felt like I was treated as if I were just another customer in an express checkout line. I did not like my experience at all. It didnt seem like he reviewed my chart before talking with me. He gave me the same medicine I told him I did not want and I knew it wouldn't do anything for me. He also lied in the summary he put on my file about my visit. I wish I never came here and waste money.
Whatever attitude about a very sensitive matter.... about to retire...?
He was very careless, he just red the X-rays and mri did mot care if patient was feeling pain or explain what to do feel better . Because patient has osteoporosis and surgery is not an option he doesn’t care , he didn’t not gave options at all .He was is a rush
Not a fan of this doctor. He has no bedside manner and didn't even seem to care why I was there. He had my records but I do not think he even looked at them before entering the room. It was a complete and total waste of my time and money.
Told me surgery wouldn’t help me. Told me that I needed to quit smoking and my back would feel better.
