Just love hanging out in the area, and the food is GREAT!!
Fuel and maintenance of boat Stopped here in December on way south. Got fuel and diver to check my running gear. Very helpful people and got myself set to keep going. A nice short walk to town nice and close to cape fear River and snows cut north bound good way to bypass rounding frying pan shoals.
Ferry to Fort Fisher - great outing The ferry from Southport to Fort Fisher does not leave from the Southport Marina but I couldn't find any other place to put this review. The ferry is operated by the NC Dept of Transportation and it leaves every 45 minutes from 1650 Ferry Road, Southport. The ride costs just $5 for you, your car and everyone who fits inside....
Scenic waterfront A nice place to sit while enjoying the scenery. Very quaint village atmosphere. No wonder movie companies come here.
