Limited menu, pretentious and so LOUD I couldn't have a conversation with anyone. Food was average. You literally cannot SEE the menu. The restaurant is lovely with good service which doesn't make up for the other issues. What annoyed us is they charge you a 20% service charge. Then they have a line way below that for an additional tip. So we way OVERPAID the tip. Do that once and you just lost a customer.
If Mother Wolf aims to impress, it certainly starts with the décor...but not necessarily in a good way. The interior feels like it was plucked straight out of a gaudy Las Vegas playbook: all flash, no warmth, no intimacy. Towering ceilings give the space an echo chamber of noise. You walk into a beautiful atmosphere and delicious food only to experience one of the worst dining experiences thanks to your server Bryant.
Very slow service. Informed server of dietary restrictions and they just didn't care. The worst part was the hostess at the front desk, name is Haley. She looks at you and treats like the cat dragged you in. Never been treated this poorly by a hostess and I'm in the industry. I would expect better from this establishment
Delightful experience on a Saturday night at Mother Wolf! We had 8:30 reservations and arrived early, they kindly asked if we'd prefer high top or table and we opted to wait for a table. It was a nice touch to have high top tables for guests waiting in the lobby as the bar was full so we grabbed a drink at bar and sat at tables in lobby which overlooked the pasta making station. Booked Mother Wolf for my husbands milestone birthday on a Saturday night 9pm reservation for 8 people. I had been in contact with Hailey for a while via email to make the reservation and she was helpful and responsive. Someone even called that day to ask my husbands birthday which they included on the menu so that was a nice touch. However we were all there by 9pm and did not get seated until after complaining to the manager and it was past 9:45. Very very mediocre food. I heard someone say "this is better than Carbone. ". They must've never been to Carbone. lol. Meatballs-cold and tiny bit of sauce n just not that good. Bread came as 3rd course. The idea of Italian food -bring to table as ready concept-makes no sense. Linguini vongole was made w butter- too heavy n shouldn't have butter. Boar papparedelle- salty. I'm a bit shocked by a lot of these positive reviews. The menu looked great and after spending a significant amount of time in Italy, I was excited to have a Roman restaurant in town. However, the pastas we tried tasted nothing like the classic Roman dishes I've had countless times. All the right ingredients but somehow none of the right (and very specific) taste. The restaurant is beautiful We arrived at 7:55 for an 8 o'clock reservation. The hostess has expected told us a table wasn't ready asked us to sit in front of the podium and wait. We went to the bar and waited 25 minutes. Nobody came to see us.
