Not too big, not too small. There's always open equipment, especially if you go before 4pm. Everything is new, modern, and clean. The staff are very nice, and the ladies in the childcare are awesome. My 1 year old loves going in and playing with them. The childcare is fairly quiet. The most kids I've seen in there is 5 or 6 kids on a Saturday, but most times there's only one other child.

I've been a member at mountainside for 2 years now and have to admit this club is by far my favorite not only because the view of tempe town lake is absolutely amazing but their machines are hoist making my workouts 100x better. Every time I walk in the staff greets me always accommodating to whatever I need. I live in North Scottsdale and could go to closer clubs but would rather drive the extra 20 minutes to workout at the Tempe location!

I joined this gym when it first opened and some of the complaints I've heard have been with how small it is. I've never had to wait on equipment and they aren't missing anything that I'd want to use. I maybe going at a slow time of day to accomplish this but I've been a happy member ever since I've joined. They have great protein smoothies (I like the berrylicious) for a post-workout fill up that don't break the bank just wish they had some nutritional facts on them. Absolutely love this gym! Everyone is so friendly and the fitness manager is definitely there to help and provide results! It's two floors and both floors have a great view of Tempe town lake! Plus the spin classes are great!!! Highly recommend checking it out!
What a great, new club. So bright, vibrant and alive. The energy is great! Front desk staff very nice and helpful. The 2-story club is very open and inviting, with great new equipment and amazing views of Tempe Town Lake. And I just realized an oh so pleasant surprise, upon my arrival for first morning class....there is a Starbucks in the building too! Bonus!! Parking can be a bit tricky, so give yourself a view the first few times. Overall, loving this place thus far. Quickly becoming my favorite club!!
Extremely impressed. I've been waiting for this location for a while and it was worth the wait. Perfect size. The equipment is a weight lifter's dream. Plenty of racks, hammer strength like machines and hoist. Cardio is awesome too just wish there was more of it. The locker rooms are beautiful. You can truly tell that Mountainside has found it's identity. This chain of gym needs to be nationwide.

Although the gym has only been open for 2 days now, it most definitely hits the mark. Great atmosphere with brand new equipment. It has most of the sections that are available at the other Mountainside locations other than the performance area with turf. Locker rooms are completely upgraded and includes a steam room (better than sauna IMO). Friendly staff thus far, even right when they open at 4:30am. So far so good and looks like this will become my primary gym going forward.
