This location is on the campus of my employer. Whenever I am hungry for something that Cafe 450 can't provide, I stop in for a Smoothie. Today, David made The Berry-licous. Vanilla whey, strawberries & bananas. Filling but not overly so. Thank you, David, for the great service and great Smoothie.

I used to be the Dutchess of this location (most check ins on Yelp). This is a great gym. A few pros and cons to explain my star rating. The view on the 2nd floor is so beautiful, especially in the morning when the sun is rising over the lake. I really like riding the bikes or doing the stair master while looking at the view. The change rooms are pretty clean and they provide you with towels. I also really like the steam room, nothing like having a great work out and then a good steam! This is a solid gym. Typical gym stuff but it is absolutely the cleanest and well maintained gym I have ever been to. Usually I just give every gym a 3 star. This gets more because of how clean it is. Locations are great also.

i hate being one of those people posting negative feed back but i'm at my breaking point. The location is perfect for myself and fiance to get a great workout in with views. Lately the customer service has been horrific and the management doesn't seem to care too much. I went to the front desk to let them know that the men's bathroom was out of soap and the towels were over flowing from the basket. Was in Tempe for a week on business. Purchased a membership so I could still work out while away from home. Beautiful facility. Not crowded at all. Took several classes, including a HIIT class taught by Charlotte. Great class that really pushed me. Super friendly people at this gym. The only reason why not 5 starts is the locker room. The facilities are great, but the room is really tight, meaning you almost have to step over/around people. Lockers are also shallow, making it harder to get all your stuff in there. I love Mountainside Fitness and this is my favorite location! Mountainside is a local, family-oriented AZ business. They pride themselves on being family-based and they offer top-notch childcare services. This was my biggest draw to the company. Many of the other gyms I checked out have pretty crappy childcare. Mountainside also has video cameras so you can check in on your child on the TV screens while you are working out. This gave me a lot of peace of mind. Love this location. It's super close to campus, free parking in the garage (for up to 2 hours I believe), everything is always clean and the machines are never broken (at least not that I've seen). Friendly employees and a good selection of machines. The only complaints I have is that they close at 11pm Monday-Thursday and at 9pm Friday-Sunday. I do wish they would extend the close times at least by 1 hour on the weekend, however these are the times at ALL mountainside locations, not just this one. Also, I do wish the cardio... read more

Stella, Thank you for your 5-star review. The Tempe location is very unique, be sure to take advantage of the bikes we offer to cruise around Tempe Town Lake on. It's really easy and fun to do! We hope to continue to see you in our facility as well as some of our other locations.
I enjoy this location, being close to work, and having the ability to check out bikes to take around Tempe Town Lake. Unfortunately, sometimes the bikes don't have the tires fully inflated. That is not always the case, but it was my last experience. There's a good variety of classes, the only thing that's missing for me is more squat racks. During peak times it's impossible to get a spot. I also wish there were more locations close to downtown Phoenix or Arcadia area. Right now the closest one is Tempe.

I'm finally posting this message here because I've attempted to voice my issues in both and email to Joyce at corporate, left voicemail for corporate, and submitted form through website and cannot even get a courtesy response from anyone involved with the company. I have been a member since the first day the Marina Heights location opened and have utilized the executive/laundry services.
