Wow! A friend and I went to visit here to take a tour and more than likely would of signed up since we work in the area. However, Tanner said he needed our phone numbers, date of birth and addresses for liability. Really!? I don't think so, I'm not going to have someone call, and send me junk mail. He said they had to have it, so we left. Unfortunate that y'all just lost business due to your marketing tactics.
Nice surroundings and new machines. But they were not honest in their ad and I had to cancel after a day or two. They signed me up as an employee of State Farm, and I am not an employee of anyone, they never ask if I was. It was a $35 rate instead of the normal $44, but it was a lie and I couldn't let it stand. There ad online and on the desks of the staff read $0 Fees! But they were going to charge me an 'annual' fee every December to repair equipment they said. I am retracting my previous comments as my complaint was addressed in a very timely manner and with professionalism. MS fitness COO Mario personally called me and resolved my complaint.

The best gym I've ever been to for the best price. Yes it's small but if you go at a time it's not too busy (before 5pm after 8pm) you will get everything done you need to! I love the view of Tempe town lake and am really excited to try a class here. Also, locker rooms/restrooms are very clean which is how you know a gym is good. 10/10 would recommend mountainside!
Not disempowering LA Fitness, Mountainside Fitness is totally another experience. First of all, this particular location has the boost of the view on Tempe Town Lake. It's beautiful to work out on the treadmill while watching the man-made lake and the mountains. You can also see airplanes on the way of landing, because of the vicinity to Sky Harbor. I have mixed views of this fitness establishment. The facilities are top notch and worthy of five stars. It's smaller than most gyms, but that's the charm which attracted me to this location. Plenty of clean towels available, nice locker room and well spaced equipment. Now to get into the two stars explanation, which I felt generous with. The attached picture is the status quo for the Rio Salado location, I am so disappointed with such a prime location and ruining their reputation because of lazy management (the tall blonde) and really poor staffing!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we are aware of the broken shower head and that is being fixed. Because of the holder of the shower head being broken that particular shower has been seeing lower water pressure. Once it is fixed the water pressure will return to normal. In addition, we did test all the other showers in our locker rooms and did not notice any issues with water pressure in any other showers.
