DO NOT BOARD YOUR PETS HERE, and here is why. We were going out of town for 4 days and needed to board our 2 dogs. I made a reservation in late August for the weekend following the Labor Day weekend. There were multiple communications from MY SECOND HOME in Franklin, TN about putting down a deposit, getting my 2 dogs vaccination records, and confirming our reservation a couple of days before the stay. Do not recommend this place. Having a flu outbreak in dogs and not informing people about it in advance has caused my dog to get sick and multiple costly vet visits. Also do not communicate back with you if you’ve had a problem. Very unimpressed and will never be taking my dog back here
Will NEVER bring my fur babies here again! Brought them in to be groomed and 3 days later, my pups are both sick with a horrible case of kennel cough, vomiting and diarrhea, requiring IV fluids and antibiotics. And let’s not even talk about the day of experience where I couldn’t get ahold of ANYONE via phone or text message for more than 5 hours while my babies where there. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this place. Your dogs will thank you!
Waited two weeks for an appointment and groomer cancelled the morning of. Rather than figuring out how to have our baby cut soonest available they told me the next available was another two weeks. Groomers do a good job but they have over booked and forgot what is important. This like many others is my “child” and it’s like they are herding cattle. WILL NOT GO BACK!
We have given My Second Home more chances than we should but I hope no one else makes the same mistake as we did and bring your dog to this daycare. Our dog has now come home twice with wounds that have needed to be treated by a vet and both times the staff has had no clue anything happened. The first time in June 2020, our dog came home with a cut on her neck that required 4 staples. My friends wonderful dog was neglected and abused there!
I just picked up my shih tzu from boarding him for the week. He was unkempt and looked as if he’s been mistreated and not cared for all week. His paws are so stained that I can’t get them clean and he smells like he’s been in a cattle stall for the week instead of a pet resort. This place is a joke and did not take care of my pet. There was no manager on site to speak with and the staff brushed it off as if he looked normal “they play outside and they just get dirty”. We recently took our 5-month puppy to My Second Home for a week during our fall break. I called in the middle of the week to get an update and check in on her. The first person I spoke with acted as though it was an inconvenience to get any information on Sophie. I was then transferred to a lovely person who gave me a pleasant report..
