ANIMAL LOVERS BEWARE!!!! If you love your pet - Do Not take them here! Dropped my dog off at 8:00 am , called several times through the day to check on her to see when we could pick her up and at almost 5:00 p.m they said that we could pick her up. We are all aware that It doesn't take nearly 9 hours to groom a dog! My dog is so sweet and submissive, and usually only takes 3 hours at the groomers from beginning to end. I brought my Siberian husky in to be groomed and learned the hard way the groomers here are clueless. Any knowledgable groomer knows to never shave any part of a husky, but obviously here the groomers are not knowledgable. They not only shaved my dogs inner hind legs, but also almost inside his butt! Shaving a husky is one of the worst things you can do!!! I'm extremely upset by the actions of my second home and would not recommend anyone have their dog groomed here! I highly would NOT recommend this facility. I recently picked up a dog for my employer who was undergoing a medical procedure. As instructed upon picking up I asked for notes that were made by the staff during his month long stay, in which he was injured while in their care and was taken to his veterinary clinic. I was first told that the notes would be given to me along with the dog. I was then told that there were no notes available. NOT A CAT GROOMER!! I called My Second Home to set up a grooming appointment for my cat. Based on numerous reviews and awards from the Nashville area they seemed qualified. The fact that they have a groomer working toward her Feline Master Groomer certificate is what sealed the deal. I travel with my cat and take him all over with me. I'm tempted to give 1 star for this review, but I'll be gracious since the first visit was a lot better than our second one. I have 2 dogs that I boarded here on 2 occasions. The first time, both were happy when they returned. The second time (2 weeks ago), when I came to pick them up they both smelled pretty bad, which I guess could be from playing with other dogs? Everytime I took my dog here for daycare his paws came back cracked and bloodied. He also had a bunch of scratches on his tummy. My dog does play rough so the scratches are pretty normal for him. He is use to playing with other dogs and running around as we take him to dog parks regularly. The cracks and chunks taken out of his paws are not. I just have to write an update on this place. My dogs have been attending day care here for sometime now, simply because of the location and proximity to work and home. 3 weeks ago they raised the rates for day care about 30%. I can see an increase of 5 or 10% but 30% really????? The customer service in the front continues to be bad. The people that work there need training in soft skills. This place sucks...fair and square. Took my pup for daycare around 8am and received a call around 12 pm. He had been attacked by another dog. Puncture wounds in his face, neck and belly. When asked what happened the staff replied (which was the manager/owner) your dog needs to work better with other animals...I asked about stitches, as he was bleeding, and they said "not to worry about it". Don't trust all of the reviews of this place, many of the good ones are likely written by management. I checked this place out for my dog, did not like that they were "too busy" to give a tour. After talking to some coworkers about this place, I decided to stay away. It is clear from the photos on the site that small dogs and large dogs are not separated despite being told that they are.
