RecommendedLast year our Dachshund began having seizures. Our vet prescribed Phenobarbital, 1/2 a 15 mg tablet once a day. We actually started out at a quarter tablet, but after about 2 months ended up going to the prescribed amount. We did have occasional break through seizures, but didn't see them often. Last week he had 2 violent ones 3 days apart, while asleep. Our vet recommended increasing the dose to 1/2 a tab twice a day. I can't find the heart at the moment to explain why this place deserves more than 5 stars because it was a hard day to let our pup go, but when I can I will come back and tell you how good this place is for all they did to help before with trying to treat his cancer despite how late he became symptomatic all the way up to having to say goodbye today.
We had to bring one of our animals in for an emergency situation a few weeks ago. They were absolutely amazing. They tried everything they could to save our precious baby. Unfortunately, there was nothing else that could be done for our sweet guy and we had to say goodbye. They were kind, compassionate, and understanding. They were very sweet to my entire family. I'm glad we went here even though the outcome wasn't what we hoped for. I will be taking our other animals here from now on.

Our Pooh was treated by the oncologist Dr VANCIL for almost 5 years with GI Lymphoma… We've seen many drs throughout the country so to say that Dr Vancil is truly one of the BEST in the country, I do not hesitate…He is straight with the owner yet has an amazing heart. We feel our cat Pooh was a miracle cat who survived cancer for almost FIVE years. We lost Pooh this past week from another disease ataxia. Dr Vancil has also treated a few other cancer cats.
