My 16 month old pug is dead after a simple spay. I took my sweet Rosie to New Baltimore the morning of August 12th, 2025. She had a simple spay and the doctor enlarged her nostrils (cosmetic) for breathing purposes. Upon picking Rosie up, the vet tech said Rosie had eaten a little bit and was doing well. On Wednesday night of that week, I noticed Rosie was breathing heavy on one side, and she hadn’t eaten since being home. My husband took Rosie in to New Baltimore Thursday morning. They were short staffed, so Rosie saw the v... read more

I am a Vet tech and let me say how disappointed I am with New Baltimore. My dog has had two lumps. They said just to keep an eye on and said there was no need to check. I knew something was not right. These lumps were fixed and starting to lose hair. I took my baby to Willow animal mail hospital and within minutes and slides processed we found out it was cancer. We could of been on top of it 6 month ago but due to New Baltimore ( I put my trust in) my baby is having to go into surgery immediately. On another note my other... read more

Well, we’ve been customers of these people for well over a decade, NEVER again. Last week my wife went to pick up some medicine for our dog. An employee (Emma) angrily thrusts her hand out yelling for my wife to put her mask on. My wife (we are vaccinated) was still in the doorway, not even fully inside yet, but as she wasn’t looking for trouble she quickly puts her mask on before she was even inside. Not good enough for the pre triggered employees! Emma started calling my wife stupid and ridiculous repeatedly, going of... read more

I have used this vet for over a decade. I took our new puppy there 6/11 and followed all the “rules”on the signs posted. The lady told me I can in fact hand her my dog and paperwork and that by the following Monday they would be easing restrictions due to vaccines (covid) being available now. And the signs aren’t needed anymore so much. I didn’t want to upset my long time vet and that appointment basically was fine. I return 6/18 just for a meds pickup, I walk in without mask, I’m in the doorway and Emma throws her hands up ... read more

Inexperienced with toy breeds and have shown they do not put the animals well being first. They would rather trigger a pups seizures than allow the owner to hold the pup for exam. Too concerns about “being right” than what benefits the patient. Our other Golden they wanted ton Nrush to surgery and after sharing concerns and wanting our dog observed overnight to see if conservative treatments would work first they had to argue again “to be right” we refused immediate surgery and sure enough our dog passed the foreign body wit... read more

After being happy with NBAH since 2004 I can no longer recommend using this vet. After mis-diagnosing my 14 year old golden retriever, Copper for 3 weeks, I can say I have seen true incompetence at its finest. Cooper was chewing the heck out of his hind legs to the point they were bleeding badly. These idiots thought it was allergies. Ran $500 in tests and prescribed him meds. Said he should be better in 2 weeks. After 2.5 weeks, his legs were worse and he could not walk. I called for an appt and they were full that day. I t... read more

New Baltimore Animal Hospital made me feel like the worst dog owner. I brought my two dogs in for separate issues MULTIPLE TIMES and their issues kept coming back. All they could tell me the root cause was "stress" and that as a dog owner I wasn't doing enough. I left the vet numerous times crying not sure what else I could do for my dogs. Multiple visits and hundreds of dollars later - we were still having the same issues. Switched to a new vet who IMMEDIATELY was able to address the issues of my dogs and it only took one v... read more

I paid an inordinate amount of money to have about half of my dog’s teeth removed. They were rotting from poor nutrition as a pup on the streets. Turns out, this “vet” didn’t remove my dog’s teeth. They sawed off his molars and left the roots intact on all “pulled” teeth. So his poor mouth is still pained and smells like decaying flesh and bone. New vet is fixing this mess. Thanks for hurting my dog and my wallet! Don’t know how that was an easier tactic than doing the work I paid for.
