My grandson has had a generally positive experience at Newman International Academy of Cedar Hill. I appreciate the school’s academic program and the opportunities available to students, including basketball. However, communication with parents and guardians could be improved. I would like the school to provide families with clearer and more consistent updates about important events, programs, and student information

I think NICH is an okay school. The students are cool and the food is good, but a lot of the staff is strict and the rules feel somewhat arbitrary. The 10 page essay required to graduate also feels excessive.

I love working at Newman International Academy. I have had the opportunity of teaching many children and seeing them grow tremendously over the span of three school years. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and have certainly met and welcomes the opportunity of working with some awesome faculty and teachers.Overall for me, it's been real!
It's okay it's better than other schools but there is plenty of room for improvement. my best experience with the school is the C.A.P program its rare to find a school based squadron. A thing that needs improvement is the facilities like the water fountains most of them where broken since the end of the first semester till the end of the school year.
I had a good experience around this time, I would just like to see more encouragement of prayer and reading the Word of God. Perhaps some time for praise as well.As for student safety, I didn't see police officers at the drop-off and pick-up lines again.
As with many charter schools, the emphasis on discipline and structured expectations may be attractive to some families but may not fit every student's learning style. This is something best evaluated through a campus visit and conversations with current families.
My oldest has been attending Newman for the past 8 years and my youngest this is his 3rd year. They love the school, the teachers and all the staff. I know there are still some areas they can improve but overall I love the culture. I would recommend Newman to other families.
